FSConfig
A configuration utility for FS2002 and/or FS2004 aimed particularly at users of VFR Photographic Scenery and VFR Terrain
FSConfig is designed to provide an easy way to configure Flight Simulator 2002 and/or FS2004 A Century of Flight to get the basic parameters required for blurry-free operation, particularly with photographic scenery, and to set FS2002 and FS2004 to use the maximum terrain resolution of 19m (approx) when used with a very high resolution terrain scenery such as VFR Terrain..
FSConfig will automatically detect FS2002 and/or FS2004 on your system and give you the option whether to update the photo scenery parameter and/or the terrain mesh parameters for each. You can choose to update none, one or the other, or both. At the end, FSConfig summarises which (if any) have been changed, and also reports on any configuration backup files created in the process.
Details of which settings are changed are included in the documentation, which you should read before running FSConfig, Also included in the documentation are suggestions for Tuning to improve frame rates and Tuning to improve display quality which you should read to ensure that you will benefit from the changes that FSConfig makes.
Note: The settings made by FSConfig may not be appropriate for WideView/WideFS users. Please check the details of the changes in the ReadMe file before using..
