This is one of those scenery sets you can just keep checking. The whole airfield is just loaded down with features. It truely is like making a visit to an Aerospace display. There would be no way to describe all the details with screenshots. You have to have it loaded and then taxi around to see everything. There are many animated features and I think I saw most of the current and historic airplanes there as static displays. There are several variations in format to adjust to different computer capabilities. I did not notice any significant differences in frame rates with the standard settings loaded up. Install is straight forward without any complicated procedures. Readme and instructions are clear and well written. I think I will be flying here a lot - Sactargets 26 Jul

I don't think I have seen scenery so masterfuly crafted.  I like to use my imagination when flying, usually low and slow, and I usually have to fill in the gaps in the scenery (mentally).  But with Fairford I loaded up Active Camera, selected external view and went for a walk.  Two hours later I was still walking around admiring.  Now that says something in itself.  Carl (the designer) is a genius... - Marcus Lefevre, 29 Jul 2004

This new Fairford scenery is dramatically different in every way and the quality of design ranks among the best I have ever seen - and I have tried the best in freeware and payware - a showstopper.

My reaction to the screen shots was WOWWWWW!

I'm impressed by the sheer volume of aircraft and general scenery (tents etc) that Carl has been able to achieve.

This looks astounding.

I was stunned by the fence, the keep out sign, the banners, and more.

It takes seemingly an age to pass over the entire line of aircraft (you keep wondering if it will ever end)

Seeing the aircraft in this way makes you appreciate just how much has gone into all the aircraft and the scenery in general.
