Visual Flight Farnborough released
A remarkable new Farnborough Airport and Airshow scenery by Carl Edwards and Marcus Lefevre is now available from Visual Flight
Visual Flight are pleased to announce the release of Visual Flight Farnborough, the latest visual tour de force from the makers of Visual Flight London ("good enough to reset the current notion of what is best" - AVSIM) and RIAT Fairford ("The best FS2004 airport I have seen to date" - Pilot magazine).
Building on his skills not just in flight sim scenery design but also an a career ranging from from lead scenery designer for Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 4 to TV and film animation, Visual Flight Farnborough's creator and lead artist Carl Edwards has poured his heart and soul into recreating not just the look of Farnborough at its best, but also the feel and atmosphere of being there.
Carl is joined for this project by Marcus Lefevre, a new scenery designer whose meticulous craftsmanship has already caught the attention of the UK flight sim scene, and whose input has contributed to the authority of this remarkably detailed scenery.
Farnborough Airshow
Most visitors to Farnborough will be familiar with the historic and prestigious airshow which has been host to some of the most amazing aircraft throughout aviation's short history and continues to impress with unusual and awe inspiring aircraft to this day.
Visual Flight Farnborough includes more than sixty static display aircraft from the 2006 airshow, and as such makes this scenery a unique for anyone who loves aircraft.
Also included is the incredible Airbus A380. Dominating proceedings during the 2006 airshow, it also dominates Visual Flight Farnborough - it's sheer size dwarfs the runways and taxiways - just as in real life.
During the airshow, a second 'airport' opens up at Farnborough, namely "Farnborough International" heliport. With its own CAA procedures and a complex operation featuring hundreds of movements onto a series of adjacent helipads and dedicated FATO runway, Visual Flight Farnborough gives you the chance to experience the excitement of landing your helicopter at a busy heliport in an environment of complex routes and procedures.
Of course, no one will know if you don't follow all the prodedures, so if you prefer you can just use one of the many helipads as a base to experience the thrill of seeing the superb detail of the airport and airshow from low altitude.
Farnborough Executive Airport
For most of the year Farnborough presents a luxurious gateway to London for the elite of the business aviation world, with gold-plated washrooms, red carpet receptions and fleets of limos waiting to meet the rich and the famous from business jets, private airliners and helicopters which make up the daily fare of its aircraft movements.
For the aviation enthusiast it represents a unique opportunity to see a completely different set of aircraft to those flying into the majority of UK civil and military airports, including some unusual and rare visitors, and now you can use Visual Flight Farnborough to recreate those flights in Microsoft Flight Simulator and experience first hand the unique blend of historic and contemporary airport architecture which make Farnborough unique.
