Features

In addition to the new and improved towns, cities, villages, docks, harbours, castles, historic buildings, windfarms, pylons, power stations, TV and radio masts, lighthouses, bridges, piers, petrochemical works, ships, boats and tourist attractions, Version 2 also includes a fully-working Falkirk Wheel (canal boat lift). For a complete categorised list of features, see Features.

For FS2004 users, Version 2 includes AFCAD2 files for all active airports to allow AI movements and designated parking spots, as well as making all airport entries available from the main Go To Airport window. A dedicated AI Traffic file adds specific traffic movements to most airfields, with AI aircraft departing and landing on a regular basis. (FS2002 users wanting AI traffic should look for AFCAD files by David Fidler in the file libraries on avsim.com or flightsim.com).

Version 2 features a huge number of new and improved features such as a more detailed version of Aboyne, improved electricity pylons, new and improved radio and TV masts,  a new lighthouse,  revised textures optimised for FS2002 and FS2004 and an improved installer.

Improvements specifically for FS2004 (compared to the earlier FS2002 version) include revised autogen to handle the changes in FS2004 autogen, removal of the unwanted duplicate bridges in FS2004, changes to custom coastlines to make them fully compatible with FS2004 and fixes for default scenery objects such as dockyard cranes which do not display correctly in FS2004.

In addition, geographic improvements have been made to coastlines, roads and beaches, and the Orkney airfields even feature accurate fields and woods in the vicinity of the airfields.
