Vol 1 - Highlands & Islands - Installation notes

Ultimate Terrain FSX-USA

• If you install Scotflight for FSX Vol 1 -Highlands & Islands after Ultimate Terrain FSX-USA, and assuming that you select the Custom Terrain Configuration File option while installing Scotflight for FSX, you will need to run the Ultimate Terrain FSX-USA Setup Tool after installing Scotflight for FSX. This will restore the entries for Ultimate Terrain FSX-USA in the terrain configuration file, terrain.cfg.
• If you install Scotflight for FSX Vol 1 -Highlands & Islands before Vancouver+, or if you choose not to install the Custom Terrain Configuration File option provided by Scotflight for FSX, e.g. because you have already installed the Richard Ludowise/Luis Féliz-Tirado modified terrain configuration file, you need to take no further action when installing Scotflight for FSX.
• If in doubt, run the Ultimate Terrain FSX-USA Setup Tool again after installing Scotflight for FSX. This should do no harm whether or not it is needed.

Vancouver+

• If you install Scotflight for FSX Vol 1 -Highlands & Islands after Vancouver+, and assuming that you select the Custom Terrain Configuration File option while installing Scotflight for FSX, you will need to run the Vancouver+ Setup program again after installing Scotflight for FSX, choosing the Repair option. This will restore the entries for Vancouver+ in the terrain configuration file, terrain.cfg.
• If you install Scotflight for FSX Vol 1 -Highlands & Islands before Vancouver+, or if you choose not to install the Custom Terrain Configuration File option provided by Scotflight for FSX, e.g. because you have already installed the Richard Ludowise/Luis Féliz-Tirado modified terrain configuration file, you need to take no further action when installing Scotflight for FSX.
• If in doubt, run the Vancouver+ Setup program again after installing Scotflight for FSX, choosing the Repair option. This should do no harm whether or not it is needed.

Other sceneries which include coastlines, lakes, roads etc

Sceneries other than those listed above may modify the terrain configuration file, but are not known at the time of writing (new sceneries are being published all the time). Check the documentation provided with them regarding compatibility, and check to see if they have any post-installation setup or repair tools such as those provided with Vancouver+ and Ultimate Terrain FSX-USA as described above.
